Here’s the latest news on the new Naruto chapter which should be out very soon:

Spoiler Translation (unconfirmed):

Deva Realm: “Myobokuzan…the holy land of the toads?”

Deva Realm: “Call back the Nine Tails Jinchuuriki this is an order from God.”

Tsunade: “I already told you we will fight you with everything we have.”

Tsunade: “Even if it cost us our lives.”

Tsunade charges a huge amount of chakra to her legs and feet preparing to dash at Pain. Next Page is of Shizune and Human Realm

Ino(Desperately cries): “You have what you want now let her go.”

Human Realm: “None can live after going against the laws of God.”

Shizune’s soul is ripped out before the konoha shinobi can react and she falls on the ground persumably dead. Next Page is back to Deva Realm and Tsunade. Tsunade almost reachs Pain with her attack but stops short of him.

Anbu/Tsunade: “!!!”

Pain’s body lets out a divine light that causes the ground to shake and blinds Tsunade and the Anbu

Anbu 1: “What is this terrible chakra.”

Anbu 2: “Is he really a god?!”

Tsunade: “Hold your ground no one can truely be a god.”

The Anbu Begin backing away despite this. Next Page of Konan and Shino and his dad. Shino and his dad are the only two left the other were sufficated by Konan’s paper. The Divine Chakra of Pain reaches the area they are fighting and the bugs begin to fly away

Shino: “This chakra it has the overwhelming feeling of death.”

Shino’s Dad: “Even the bugs flee whats happening over there.”

Konan: “Pain you….”

Konan(desperatly): “Nagato if you do this you will only shorten your life.”

Konan thinking: “Its the same as that time…”

Small three panel flashback of Pain being enraged by Madara at their first meeting in the manga and Konan saying “Pain you…” Next Page Fusaku and Naruto

Naruto: “I’m almost there just a little bit more time and I should be able to do it.”

A Tadpole and Shima(ma toad) Comes Rushing up

Tadpole: “Elder Frog come quickly Kousuke’s name has disappeared from the list on the frog scroll.”

Fusaku: “If thats true then somthing terrible must be happening back there.”

Shima: “Quickly we have to Summon the Eldest Sage only he can take naruto back in time.”

Fusaku and Shima form handseals. The Next two Pages have very little dialog they are just off the 5 pain bodies deactivating. First Human realm is shown deactivating right before he stabs Inoichi with the black spear, then Animal Realm before the dog summon crushes Ibiki and the Anbu, then Hungry Ghost who has his hand on Kiba’s mom’s throat, and finally Hell Realm who has gotten back up and is about to stab Konohamaru and Ebisu from behinde. Next Page is Deva Realm

Deva Realm: “Chou Shinra Tensi”

Huge explosion of gravity sweeps through the streets of Konoha destroying everything in its path. A bunch of slugs cover the building sakura is in and saves sakura and the wounded. Next page Sakura walks outside the building and sees dozens of dead konoha villagers and basically a post-apocalyptic konoha

Sakura(Crying): “Where ever you are naruto….”

Sakura(Crying): “I beg of you…Save us”

Final Page is birds eye view of the village completely destroyed and smoke rising from it. Next time: “A hero’s sad return”

This week actually revealed a lot of secrets finally! We found out where Pein’s conusing powers come from, it turns out there’s one guy (the only real Pein?) who reanimates corpses and uses them and their signature jutsus to fight. There was some technobabble about using metal transmitters (Pein’s piercings) and chakra waves to control the multiple bodies…

And meanwhile Konohamaru and Ebisu continue to fight one of the Peins, and Konohamaru is definitely being way cooler than he ever used to be. It looks like Pein had him in his grasp for the final kill…but then *poof* he got tricked by the ninja replacement trick! And then Konohamaru suddenly used Rasengan on him??!! crazy. well the mangaka does always play up the idea of the next generation of ninjas being very similar to their elders, looks like Konohamaru is definitely the next generation Naruto…

Konohamaru in action: you can kind of take him seriously for real when he says his full name.

Also maybe I shouldn’t give away the ending of the chapter…but…what the heck? The “real Pein” has psychic abilities to read minds, and that’s how he figures out naruto is not actually even in the village…….dude……why didn’t he use that power like 5 chapters ago???

Long hair Pain appears before “team” Inoichi.
Then Neji’s father appears.
Neji: “This guy is strange”
Inoichi team: ?!

Change to Shino’s family.
They’re trying to fight Konan, but she turnes into paper and escapes, tho they planted a bug on her.

Change to Tsunade.
She talk with Pain a bit and then fights.
She pretends that was attracted by his gravitation, but then gives him a single blow.

Konan appears.
Tsunade: ?!
Pain crushes in mountain.
Tsunade: “You used your repulsive power to throw yourself to the rear?”

So the end of this week’s chapter is setting up for a big fight of Tsunade vs. Pein- and probably some flashbacks of how they know each other and how they also probably have a long history of being enemies. Or who knows maybe they were friends or something and then became enemies later (!!??). But, I also can’t help wondering if the author (mangaka) Kishimoto is considering this an opportunity for putting Tsunade out of commission and thus Naruto would have his chance at becoming hokage?? I always thought the series would end when Naruto becomes hokage…but even though the series has been running for so long I still don’t think it seems like the end yet. Fighting Pein doesn’t seem dramatic enough of a climax to end Naruto’s journey to becoming hokage…

Has it reached the limit yet of how many weeks we can see Pein fighting with everyone in the village of Konoha?? He’s fought almost everyone we know- Iruka, Kakashi, Chouji, Chouji’s dad, Ebisu-sensei, now even Konohamaru…who by the way seems a whole lot less annoying than he used to be, now that he’s growing up and stuff…but anyway somebody better hurry up and beat Pein or there won’t be many people left inthe village…

At the end of the chapter, Tsunade finally gets in there and challenges Pein ( shouldn’t she have done that like 3 chapters ago?)- and the weird thing is that he knew her from the past- more secrets!

The quick highlights from this week’s naruto manga, titled Reunion:

Chouji’s father isn’t dead!! Kind of funny though how Tsunade’s answers are all non-answers, but we know what they really mean. Keep the suspense going without actually telling us whether Chouji and Kakashi are dead or not!! I haven’t given up hope yet, he might not be dead…before this week I would have said 60% chance he died, but after this week I say it’s only 30% chance he’s actually dead. Because otherwise, why would Tsuande say quote “……..” if Kakashi was really dead?? There would be no point of building suspense and doubt over whether he’s dead…at least I hope.

Hmmm, so it seems the people we thought were dead may not actually be dead…will have to wait and see though…

Konohamaru faces Pain.
“I’m gonna be hokage someday, so I must fight, I promised Naruto-niichan, bla-bla-bla…”

Scene changes to Naruto training.
He fails to collect natural enegry while moving.

All Katsuyu’s slugs Tsunade sent arrived to everyone.
It attached to Kakashi, but he seems to be dead.

Chouji arrives to Tsunade.
Chouza is alive and moved to hospital.
Chouji cries.

Another Pain arrives to where autopsy Pain is held.
Black tube is pulled out. That moment enters Kiba and his mother.

Aburame family faces Konan.

Team Gai finishes it’s mission and feeling uneasy about Konoha.

Yahiko Pain arrives to where Tsunade is.
“It’s been a long time” Tsunade says.

Nest week fate starts anew.

This week we got 3 pages of flashbacks about how far naruto has come- as part of Ebisu’s memories of naruto before he tells Pein he would never give up information about Naruto. We see the highlights of naruto’s journey to becoming a ninja- how the villagers didn’t accept him, how naruto helped defeat zabuza, naruto’s chuunin match where he beat Neiji, etc. And then at the end the classic group villager picture where everyone finally excepts naruto and even respects him, even Ebisu sensei who used to be one of his critics. So it may not look good for Ebisu since flashbacks are really often right before someone dies…or at least almost dies…we shall see next week though.

Overall, nothing really big happened this week for Konoha, it seems every chapter for the past couple weeks has started with Pein asking “Where is Naruto??!!” “Is Naruto even in this village??!” it seems he is really not getting anywhere with his tactics of asking and then killing people. No one will tell him anything about Naruto, even if they did know where he was (which no one seems to actually know). But anyway so Pein kills these 2 guys in a pretty gruesome way involving tentacles of some kind (?), and then Konohamaru tries to sneak away but Pein sees him- but Ebisu-sensei comes out and challenges Pein so Konohamaru can get away (awww). Then Pein is about to kill Ebisu, and Konohamaru steps out in front and challenges Pein!!! OH it’s on I can’t remember what level Konohamaru is, he’s still pretty young, but maybe he’s learned a lot and he is the grandson of the hokage so maybe he will surprise us all…

Pein’s powers are slowly being revealed- previously we learned that his 6 bodies somehow communicate with each other, so they can all see what the others see. It seems that all the specific Peins have their own specialized ninja skill. Last week we also saw a creepy factory/temple looking building where they brought dead bodies, supposedly as some kind of tomb for the bodies, but it was very suspicious…then this week we learned that somehow Pein is using the ninja techniques that hte dead people knew. Pretty creepy…how can they stop Pein?
